Super News from the Boat!

Here is the latest from my Babe . . . today the graders (the people who grade them going through comp 2x) were very impressed with Brian's work. They said he is way ahead of where the last person they graded was at this point. They said it was perfect but did give Brian a few areas after that to improve on but they were very pleased with what they saw.

Then Babe had information that had to go to the admiral on board the Theodore Roosevelt. His CAG and DCAG went with Brian to the admiral's office. Babe said it was like an executive suit REALLY NICE with couches and a REALLY BIG office. His CAG and DCAG told Babe to sit down and wait while they went into the admiral's office thinking they would come out later after one of them had given him the brief and Brian could come in incase the admiral had any questions. Babe had only sat there  5 minutes when they asked him to come in! They briefly introduced Brian to the admiral. The admiral was standing behind a desk or table and the CAG and DCAG were standing and the admiral indicated for Babe to sit down. Babe was surprised he was being asked to sit. He was to give the brief (he had prepared for this thankfully). After the brief the admiral asked as Babe said "intelligent questions" then the admiral asked Brian "how many of you are there?" Babe thought he meant in the Navy and started answering to that effect and the CAG or DCAG broke in and said it's just him.  They understood that the admiral meant in the air wing. The admiral said "Do you have a bodyguard for him?" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That  was a lift to Brian's spirits!!!! Then the admiral started small talk and found out Babe was from Wisconsin and told a connection he had their (relative). Then the CAG said that Babe had a parcel of kids! Babe told the ages . . . and so the small talk! WOW!!! What a day for him!!! God is SOOO Good and is really answering our prayers!!! Babe had chosen a petty officer to go with him on comp2x and the guy is GREAT he work almost 15 hours straight yesterday for Babe! Babe is IMPRESSED and is going to make sure the guy gets noticed. To bad this guy can't go on cruise with him!
