Growing up, up, up, up

Last night we had a friend of our over for dinner. He is a Growler pilot from Washingtion. At dinner he and Brian were talking Navy talk which by nature has alot of letters in it. For instance NFO, or PSD, etc, etc, etc there are SOOOO many of those in the military! I actually think they might have been talking about where someone was stationed. Ross was listening to the conversation and piped up "C3PO is in Star Wars!!!!" That is just HISTERICAL!!

This morning I walked into my room to see Gabriel with my laptop on youtube watching a video about a beetle. The other day he was asking questions about a bug so I googled it. Guess who know how to use Google now!!! I talked to him and said it was fine for him to do that but he had to have Mommy or Daddy sitting right next to him.

Ahhh, Embarrasing moments with my children . . .

Last week the Captain that was moving out next door was coming over from time to time to give us things that they needed to be rid of. He commented once when he came over that "everyone is always so happy when I come over". One time the kids were pretending to shoot him with lego guys. Anyway, my childhood came back to haunt me when Annalina 2 times let out BIG belchs as he was standing there. She thought it was funny as did I when I was a child and would try to show off that I could belch like a guy and my mom was not pleased! How embarrasing, Annalina got a talking!!

BUT EVEN MORE EMBARRASING was our time at a waiting room in the hospital. We were in a small waiting room waiting for my appt. and there was only one other person in the waiting room. It was a lady and I had noticed that she just seemed kind of grumpy. After awhile Ross walked right up to her pointed and said "she has a bad attitude!" AMAZINGLY, she laughed!!! I apologized 2 or 3 times and explained to Ross that people don't have to always be just giddy!! Ross is interesting he is a people reader he had noticed that same thing before at another place but he didn't walk right up to the person. Ross is well aware of attitude problems since it is something he struggles with, so he may be more in tune to it!!! :-)

Carson is such a laid back, sweet baby. I enjoy so much my time holding him. I know his time being so small is so short. 

In the picture of just Carson he is wearing the outfit he came home in. It was PERFECT because it said "little Sprout" on the front and that is what we called him from the beginning "Sprout".

Not a Usual Catch

Gabriel and Annalina were thrilled to catch a baby bird running around the yard. Gabriel told me he caught a bird and I was surprised! He caught it with a butter fly net. The bird was returned to its mother!

New Abilities . . . My Baby is growing up!

Yesterday I had to go to the bathroom and heard Carson starting to fuss so I asked Gabriel to watch him. When I came back out into the living room Carson was gone . . . Hmmm, I went into Gabriel's room where he had been playing and there was Carson!! He had picked him up and THANKFUL put him in a baby recliner type chair and pushed him to his room. He told me he put a hand behind his head when he picked him up but that "Carson didn't like it" but Carson was content when I got there!

Also yesterday, I walked out of the room to do something and when I came back Ross was standing in the kitchen with a raw egg in a bowl with a fork preparing to eat his egg. I asked what was going on and Gabriel said "Ross said he wanted an egg" so Gabriel cracked an egg and put it in a bowl for him! I explained it need to be COOKED!!!!!

Oh well, Gabriel is growing up and spreading his wings!!

Annalina's and Ross' Pretend World and Dressup over the Last Month

Annalina and Ross are quite the pair and both of them have HUGE imaginiations!! From being a king and queen, to a queen and a warrior, or a horse with a rider. One day Annalina had the metal ladder from her bunk bed and it went from a ladder to a hopscotch squares when laid on the floor, to a plow when she crawled on the ground and pretended to be a horse and pull it behind her! 

The fuzzy hat is a real fur hat from Russia that dad brought back for me. I have now given it to Annalina since she has a collection of winter hats from other countries.

Date Night with Daddy!

Annalina and Daddy are meat eaters and they enjoy going out for a fancy dinner to "eat meat". Annalina calls it "going to the meat store". They had another fun together. Annalina talked about their first time going out while Daddy was away on cruise it was a very good and fun memory that she held onto. (May 2009)

Grandma Johnson's Visit (May 2nd-June 2nd)

Grandma Johnson came to stay with us for the month of May!!! The kids love having Grandma here and Ross especially spent a lot of time with Grandma doing sticker books!!! Of course, having mom around is a HUGE help. She is always doing something to help us out. While she was here we celebrated her birthday too!!

I Love You Party

Annalina invited her Daddy and her Mommy to an "I Love You Party". Brian had to leave for work unfortunately but I was able to attend. The party was on a Strawberry Shortcake blanket on the floor in her room. We sang while Ross played the doll house piano and Annalina played the "horn" which was some type of tube made into a horn. Annalina also sang me an "I love you" song which was wonderfully sung from the heart. I was also able to choose my favorite stuffed animal to attend with me!!!
