I wanted to post this poem when I posted about Brian and I's 10 year anniversary but I couldn't find it. I have a copy so I can now post it. I wrote this poem in my last year in college. I think it is a good reminder after 10 years of marriage how really marriage is a gift from God. I couldn't be happier with the man God put in my life. He desires to live a life honoring to the Lord.

Fabulous Ferns Hike--June 2010

In Monterey they have great opportunities for families and one of them is free guided hikes of places in the area. Daddy and Gabriel went on the "Fabulous Ferns Hike" and Gabriel LOVED it. Babe called me and said Gabriel had made a new friend . . . the docent of the hike and Gabriel got along fabulously. The docent and Gabriel got to indentifying plants and on the way back on the hike he asked Gabriel to count all the plants and flowers that they had identified. At the end of the hike he told the rest of the people on the hike that the hike was done but that he and Gabriel were going on to identify more. They ended up identifying 61 plants!! What a super time for Gabriel he loves plants.

Imaginations--June 2010

Another "Fun" idea I had while Daddy and Gabriel were on their little road trip was to give Annalina and Ross 2 wardrobe boxes I had from sorting out the garage. I had some paints and paintbrushes and put them outside to let their creativity loose. Well, they let their creativity loose alright, on each other!!! They had an absolute BLAST though!!

Yep, even the feet are painted.

Usually, things seem funnier after time passes but it this case I thought it was funny

until it was time to clean them up and then it didn't seem as funny! But I am glad they

had fun and they didn't do anything I had told them not to do!

My Museum--June 2010

While Daddy and Gabriel went on their trip to Nevada towards the end of June (staying up late at night in hotels to play Axis and Allies the board game, not brushing teeth, listening to a civil war story as they traveled) to pick up our things out of storage we decided we needed to have some fun too!! Ross really enjoys a place called My Museum and so we went and they enjoyed their play time!

Ross in construction or is it destruction mode?

Hang on tight Carson we have a fire emergency! It will be interesting to see what God calls Ross to do in life but right now he enjoys firemen stuff and cooking!

Ross is picking his vegetables so they can be transported to the restaraunt. They lady that worked there said he was "quite the businessman".

Hmmm, I wouldn't want this medic . . . who knows though 20 years down the road!!

10 Years with the Love of My Life-June 24th

On our 10 year anniversary Babe and I were on vacation but we thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary day with the kids. Babe made he and I a HUGE steak that was super and then to celebrate with the kids we ate smores and that was fun and YUMMY.

We did do an early anniversary get away at the end of May. When my mom and dad came to visit they took care of the kids and we got away for a whole night and had a GREAT time! I wanted to do that once a month!! Yup, that's just a dream!:-)

(Some of the following I wrote before)

Last Friday night my Mom and Dad watched the kids while Babe and I went away for overnight! This was the first time we have ever done that and we had a BLAST!! We went and leisurely shopped and looked around then had a SUPER good meal at the FishHopper right down by the bay. In fact, the part of the resteraunt where we sat went out into the water and was enclosed by huge windows . . . so peaceful and beautiful. Babe had swordfish to eat and I had fettituni alfredo with super yummy prawns!!! My parents found the kids so funny in how they talk. Dad said they talked like adults and that Annalina had told him that "Sometimes it is important for married people to go away for a short time." I had talked to her about this. We have been married for 10 years! Absolutely amazing that much time has gone by! I am so thankful that I am madly in love and that every year is better then the last and I know that is because BOTH of us desire a marriage that is right before God. I am thankful to be married to someone that has a strong relationship with God because I know that directly effects our marriage and my life.

Wow, 10 years, so many adventures we've had and how our love has grown is such a blessing. Anyone that has spent time around my hubby knows what a great man, husband, and father he is. I can't say how thankful I am for him.

Carson is a very busy little boy but he

got worn out at times!

Carson is a BIG boy for 14 months.

He LOVED sleeping on Daddy and Mommy's

down sleeping bags! One day I laid down with

him and closed my eyes he looked at me and took

out his pacifer and tried to put it in my mouth. Sweet.

He conked out at the river . . . he probably enjoyed the

sound of the water rushing by.
