Today was interesting . . . When I saw I hadn't torn off the calendar verse for today I did . . . Wow, God's Word was just for me at this moment in time. The verse was Proverbs 3:30-31 "Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways." It told me how to handle something that had really been urking me. That is what Scriptures are for wisdom, direction, correction, discernment, encouragement, etc.
I like:
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace."--Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Psalm 61:7&8 "In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times: ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us."
"Holy Words long preserved for our walk in this world they resound with God own heart oh let the ancient words impart.
Words of life, words of hope, give us strength help us grow in this world with err we roam ancient words will guide us home.
Ancient words ever true changing me and changing you."--Ancient Words
"Your (Christ's) love is breath to my soul."--I Can Hear Your Voice
Story from the day: Gabriel was having a rough time with his attitude after we picked him up from school. When we got home I went inside with Annalina and Ross and had told Gabriel to bring in his backpack with him. We had been inside quite awhile when I realized I hadn't seen Gabriel in the house. I went out to the van and there he was sitting quietly. I asked him what he was doing "Just sitting by myself, changing my attitude." I gave him a kiss and said he could come in when he was ready. "I am ready" he said. A different kid walked in the house. The attitude was gone. Maturity/Character.
