Starting Our Trip Back Home From Our Road Trip

One morning in one of the hotels the kids and I found Carson sleeping
like this and we all just thought it was adorable and had to get a picture.
Look at those ADORABLE feet!
Ahh, all the pools were great fun this summer!
Carson just looking cute.
We were all excited that we got to see the St. Louis Arch even if it was just
from the car. It was bigger than I remember it!

The day after being driving through St. Louis a semi-truck tire got kick up under our van and it started driving funny. I pulled over on the nearest exit which had NOTHING around. The tire had lodged under the car very firmly and I couldn't budge it. I had not even been out of the van 5 minutes and a tatoo'd angel came and asked if I needed help and I sure did. He could not remove the tire either but got a metal bar to pry it out and burned himself in the process. I am so grateful for the kindness and help. We got back on the road and a few hours down the road I realized I had no air-conditioner! The temperature kept going up and peaked at 109 degrees! A lot of the time it was 106 degrees. It was a bit scary having small children and such horrid temperatures but I kept them hydrated and we made it to the hotel after hours in terrible, terrible heat. God was so faithful. We ate, swam, and went to bed then got up during the night to travel in the cool of night to my brother and sister in laws. It was 30 degrees cooler at one point then it was the day before when we travelled! Much better! When I got to my brother Quentin's we got it to a mechanic to get it repaired! I was so proud of the kids they were troopers and could have belly-ached about the conditions but they rolled with the punches!
