Encouragement

Last week I had a night I was discouraged and not happy with the way I was doing some things or not doing some things around the house. I was feeling like a failure and wished I could be a super hero woman---REALLY---I did want to be a superwoman! I got some great encouragement and wise words from my hubby. The next morning I was complimenting Annalina because this school year she has really worked hard at doing what she is supposed to be doing and in this case doing something without being reminded to do her duty. She said to me "It's not like I'm a great kid you train me." She just said it so matter of factly . . . like I didn't just turn into this mom you guided me to become this way. What an encouragement to me. She is a great kid by the way whether she said that or not.

Tonight Annalina was reading a book and asked me what a housekeeper is so I told her. She said she did NOT want one because then she wouldn't do work. I agreed with her and said that she'd grow up and wonder how to do the work she needed to do! Annalina said "I'd say 'I need a housekeeper'!" I thought that was so funny!
